Our small group was very diverse age wise. We had a few talkers, and the rest rarely shared. So we took one of our kids fluffy stuffed animals, and began tossing it from one to another. We used it for the icebreakers, and at other times, we'd toss it to encourage someone other then our regular talkers to share their thoughts. Something about this little fluffy toy softened the group up, providing lots of laughs, fun memories, and helped to build better relationships.
