An Opportunity to Help a Needy Family

Anywhere But Here

This is an unusual post for me, but I wanted to make you aware of a need that will probably become more common as the more people in our country live on the edge. My friend and fellow author, Brandilyn Collins, has been blogging and Twittering for the past couple of days about a local homeless 16-year-old and her mom who were evicted from their apartment, apparently wrongfully. The girl, Katy Hughes, has proven the power of the Internet by blogging about her experiences. She only has a few posts, so it’s easy to catch up on the full story quickly. Brandilyn knows this family and has used her influence to publicize the Hughes family’s plight and gather donations. I can’t personally vouch for them, but I trust Brandilyn, so am posting this for your prayer and consideration. If you’d like to help, there are addresses on both Katy’s and Brandilyn’s blogs and Brandilyn has set up a PayPal account for the family.

May God bless you in the new year.
