Introducing the new SmallGroups.com

December 5, 2008 | Comments Off

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth? It felt like I did. Nothing specific other than being terribly busy and a huge posting block (closely akin to writers block). I need to find a better pace, especially now that I’m back in school. I’m still trying to work, do the Gen Sandwich thing with my mother, and keep up with ministry in addition to working on a master’s degree in theology. I just need to find my pace—again. I’m going to try to do better. And you can help. Send me a question. What small group challenges are dogging you?

Meanwhile, have you checked out the new SmallGroups.com? It was just relaunched after being merged with Christianity Today’s BuildingSmallGroups.com. There are a lot of free resources and two membership levels depending on your needs. Kudos to new managing editor Sam Neal and former editor Dan Lentz, who have done an amazing job revamping the site and making it more useful. I’m privileged to serve as an advisor to this group and have had the opportunity to write dozens of articles for them since Michael Mack developed the original site  back in 1995. They now have almost 1000 articles posted, many of them free. You can search the site for by author name or topic. Here’s one of my favorites on The Challenge of Challenging People.  Spend some time exploring the site. It’s an amazing resource. Sign up for a free 14-day trial and give it a test drive. Let me know what you think.
