Newsletter Debuts

The March Mighty Oak Ministries newsletter is now posted online. Just click the Newsletters link on the toolbar. If you want to receive it by email in the future, be sure to sign up in the right sidebar. (Be sure to click the link in the confirming email you receive. Otherwise your subscription won’t be activated. This double opt-in system protects you from spam and keeps me in compliance with the law.)

When you subscribe, you’ll receive an email offering you a free download, Making Time for Prayer. Do you have that problem in your group? You enjoy a great study, share and share and ….  “Well, we’re out of time. Take the requests and pray at home.” This resource offers valuable tips on how to make sure you actually get to pray in your small groups.

I can’t believe the learning curve in getting the newsletter up and the email system up and running. I’m a writer and trainer, not a computer geek. I wanted a dynamic site, and have had fun learning this software. But it’s slow. But add to that the creation of a newsletter and learning the new email system and we have overload! It’s involved learning new technical language and just enough HTML to be dangerous. But I’m pretty proud of myself. In fact, when I got it all done, I had to call my webmaster genius son just to tell him I did it myself and prompt him to say, “Good job, Mom!” He’s amused at how hard this is for me. I think his generation was born with an extra chip.
